 Wildlife sightings include dolphins, manatee, tarpon, wood storks, roseate spoonbills, bald eagles, osprey and so much more.  Places to see wildlife include the Gulf of Mexico, Intracoastal waterway and surrounding tributaries.  There is an active rookery during nesting season for avid birdwatchers!

There is a chance to see dolphin all year.  January through March bring young close to Venice Inlet.  Manatee are more prevalent during the summer months when the water is warm.
